Virtual Field Trips

As a requirement for my EDUC 515 course, I wrote a paper on a technology that can be used in the classroom. You can read that paper HERE and learn more about this great technology and how we can still take our students on field trips even though budget cuts don't allow for busses and off-campus trips. Ed Camp OC

My experience at Ed Camp OC was...

       Educational.

       Delicious.

       

       Collaborative. 

       Awesome.

       Mind expanding. 

       Personal.

     EdCamp is a unique and wonderful experience.  Everyone attending was welcoming and friendly, not to mention, really creative!  I fully enjoyed getting to hear about what other people are doing in their classes and how technology can effectively be used to enhance learning.  

     This (un)conference is a great way to open your horizons and learn from other educators.  It is definitely a professional development opportunity.  I even think it is better than a typical professional development.  The atmosphere was inviting and allowed for a real opportunity to ask questions and learn.  I learned so much about a wide range of things from this group of people.  In professional development trainings there is usually a key person or two leading and they have a specific view point on the topic they are presenting on.  EdCamp was a chance to hear multiple opinions which facillated an opportunity to really grow and open your mindset.
